 Jacques Sollberger was born in Solothurn, Switzerland, in 1960. He attended watchmaking school in Solothurn from 1976-1979. When he graduated, Jacques was awarded the title of “Uhrmacher-Rhabilleur”. When Jacques completed his military commitment, he moved to the United States and from 1980-1983, he worked for a jeweler in Cleveland, MS.
In 1984, he opened his first store in Pearl, MS, called Sollberger Watches & Clocks, Inc. He moved to the Village Mall in Ridgeland in 1989. Next, he spent 11years (1992-2003) at the Purple Creek Plaza on Countyline Rd.
In 1994, his wife, Edith, with her wealth of experience in jewelry sales, management and purchasing, joined him in business. In 2003, Jacques exhibited remarkable foresight and courage when he moved his successful enterprise to the Township on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland.

 Born and raised in Saarbrucken, Germany, Edith also graduated from Business college there. She came to the United States in 1974 and became a proud US Citizen in 2000. Edith has worked in jewelry business since 1981.
In 1994, she applied her wealth of jewelry knowledge to joining forces with her husband, Jacques, at Sollberger Watches, Clocks and Jewelry.

 As a Graduate of Martin School of Jewelry, Tom has certificates in basic and advanced repair and stone setting. He has attended numerous manufacturer sponsored schools and workshops.
He and his wife, Barbara, have been married for 34 years and have 3 adult children. Tom has been with Sollberger Watches, Clocks and Jewelry since 2005 but was a Jeweler in the Jackson/Metro area since 1982.

 Since December of 1999, Sherrial has been with Sollberger's covering Sales and organizing and processing inventory.
Married to Paul, She grew up in Yazoo City and moved to Jackson in 1969.

 With over 25 years of experience in the Jackson jewelry store market, our Graduate Gemologist, Ted Allgood, brings a wealth of successful sales and creative design. He came to Sollberger's in 2004, eager to apply his skills, and has been with us ever since.
Ted will be delighted to share with you his gemological studies and guide you through the purchase of diamonds and settings. He can assist you in creating unique pieces that will initiate or complement your jewelry portfolio.
Ted can also provide insurance recognized appraisals of your jewelry and watches. With access to our full Gem Lab at Sollberger’s, Ted specializes in gem identification and appraisals for insurance replacement. He has been married to his wife Carol for 23 years and they have two wonderful children: Tori (19) and Chad (16). Ted is also a member of Madison Planning and Zoning Commission.

 Janet is the newest member of our staff. She came on board with us July first of 2011. Selling fine jewelry and servicing customers in the Jackson and Ridgeland area, she began her career in the jewelry
industry in 1985.
Janet is a certified diamond consultant through the Diamond Council of America and will be more than happy to assist you in selecting that perfect diamond for any occasion or "Just Because." She is also very passionate about our other jewelry collections and the amazing selection of fine watches and timepieces we have to offer. As a child Janet grew up in Nashville but then moved to Mississippi where she graduated from Clinton High School. After graduation she attended Hinds CC.
Janet loves dogs and is especially fond of her German Shepherds. Her initials are uniquely, JFK, which is how many of her customers know her. She won’t mind if you ask for her by name or her initials when you arrive.
