One of the main goals that the Jorst's had going into their business was to make Skagen Designs a global community of Skagen enthusiasts, since the company's namesake is the little village of Skagen in Denmark. The town is well-known for magnificent light and miles of white sandy beaches and magnificent light, which combined has made it a prominent destination for artists. It continues to serve as a continual inspiration for all Skagen watches created to this day.
